John is a prior service veteran of not only the US Army, but also the College Station Police Department and the Alpine Fire Department. He has worked overseas in Sub-Sahara Africa in the wildlife conservation industry and has been an advocate of sustainable outdoors sporting activities for over a decade.
In 2016 he launched a program designed to bring veterans and first responders out on the open seas in order to experience the exciting and unique world of competition sports-fishing; from that the Amazon Television Show, Blood on the Deck, was born.
